I ended up having to go into the registry with RegEdit and remove the key pointing at the WordPress account I had setup after the first install.  There are several and not entirely centralized.

Yesterday, I spent most of the day getting the blog set up and figuring out how WordPress operates.  
I setup my first text widget with a call to www.quitmeter.com to put my quit smoking date in.
